What TabRot Collects

TabRot collects the following data to provide its core functionality:

• Tab metadata — URLs, page titles, timestamps (opened, last visited, time spent)
• Usage data — Tab counts, freshness scores, and Shame Score statistics

How Data Is Used

All collected data is used exclusively to:

• Track tab age and calculate freshness / shame scores
• Display tab health and rot indicators

Data is never used for advertising, profiling, or sold to third parties.

Data Storage

All data stays on your device. TabRot stores tab metadata, scores, and preferences locally in your browser via chrome.storage. No data is sent to external servers.

activeTab	Access the current tab's content when extracting page text

Third-Party Services

TabRot does not currently connect to any third-party services. All processing happens locally in your browser.

Your Rights

• Deletion — Uninstall the extension to remove all stored data, or clear it from the extension settings
